The promise I drew from my box this morning said this…

“Be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.” -1 Chronicles 22:13

Sometimes, this life gets weary…dreary…sad… almost unbearable;  that’s when we need to remember that Jesus cares about our situation!

When His friend Lazarus died, the Bible says in John 11:35 that “Jesus wept.”  He was sad that His friend, Lazarus was gone.  He felt sadness for Mary and Martha, for they were in much grief.  Later in Scripture, we see that Jesus wept over Jerusalem-Luke 19:41-44.  In Isaiah 53:3, we see that,  “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.”

Next time you’re in doubt and think that Jesus doesn’t care about your problems, remember the above verses.  Remember His tears!

I leave you with two short stanzas of poetry…

“In the common round of duty, lift thy heart in praise; For the Lord has surely promised, strength for all thy days! ” -Unknown

“He KNOWS our burdens and our crosses,

These things that hurt, our trials and losses,

He cares for every soul that cries,

God wipes the tears from weeping eyes.” -Brandt
