Walk Through This World with Me
Walk through this world with me
Go where I go
Share all my dreams with me
I need you so
In life we search
And some of us find
I’ve looked for you
A long, long time
And now that I’ve found you
New horizons I see
Come take my hand and
Walk through this world with me

George Jones, one of Country Music’s greatest artists,  sang the above love song years ago. It was a hit, and at the number one  position for quite some time.  Why was it so popular? ….Because we can all relate to the words.  We all want someone to lean on…someone who truly cares about us…loves us with an undying love!
I woke up thinking about the words this morning, and recalled the verse in Zephaniah 3:17, The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”   I believe this to be true, for I could hear Jesus singing  to me…but the words were a little different.  Here’s what I heard…
“Walk through this world with Me.  Go where I go.  Share all your dreams with Me, for I love you so!  In life you searched, and Me, you did  find…I’ve waited for you a long, long time;  and now that you’ve found Me, new horizons you’ll see!  Come!  Take My hand and walk through this world with Me!
WOW!  That IS what Jesus wants for us!  He wants us to walk with Him and talk with Him.  He wants us to share our dreams with Him…as well as our fears. In Jeremiah 29:13, it says this: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
God wants us to seek after Him.  He’s waiting for us to come to Him!  When we do…we will see this life in another perspective, for He gives life, and gives it more abundantly!  He gives Joy, and Peace that is beyond comprehension!  Protection and Provision will always be a part of your new life with Him!  He will never leave you, nor forsake you!
He stands with His arms outstretched, saying, “Come!  Take My hand, and walk through this world with Me…”
