I saw this on FB this morning, and decided to share it.  My cousin, Dena is married to this wonderful man.  He is a great Bible teacher!  Hope you enjoy…,  Thanks for sharing Chet!  -anita

GOD’s Love toward us is NOT based on how much we love HIM. HE Loved us even while we were lost in our sin. While we were in a Godless condition and without Christ, GOD Loved us and sent HIS Son, Jesus Christ to pay our sin debt!
I struggle with the concept that I MUST be a perfect follower of Jesus Christ. Yet daily, even minute by minute, I realize that this thought is foolishness. I allow “things” to create a great amount of stress within my life.
I lose sight of what Christ has done for us. We are to “cast our cares upon Him who cares for us.” Our salvation, is though the finished work of Jesus Christ. His death, burial and resurrection has freed us from the bondage of sin. There is no work that we can do, to bring salvation to ourselves. For by Grace you are save, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 5:6-11
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
