HOW TO BE A MISERABLE CHRISTIAN…

1.  Constantly compare yourself to others

Theodore Roosevelt – “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Galatians 6:4-5 Each of you must examine your own actions. Then you can be proud of your own accomplishments without comparing yourself to others.  Assume your own responsibility.

2 Corinthians 10:12  We do not have the audacity to put ourselves in the same class or compare ourselves with some who [supply testimonials to] commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they lack wisdom and behave like fools.

2.  Share your dreams of Ministry with your family and expect them to encourage you

Matthew 13:57    So they turned angrily away from Him. But Jesus said to them, “There is no prophet left without honour except in his own country and among his own family.”

3.  Stick with what you know

God doesn’t call the qualified…He qualifies the called!

1 Corinthians 1: 26-29  26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,
29 so that no one may boast before him.

4.  Let money dictate what you do

Matthew 6:33  But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Hebrews 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Malachi 3:10b  …put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

William Rodriguez – “Money follows ministry.”
