Sorry I didn’t blog yesterday!
My husband woke up sick the night before, and we ended up in the ER. We left the house at 11:45 p.m. and didn’t get home until 6:30 a.m. ! We were exhausted!! My poor husband had them probing, gouging, and poking him for six hours. My little son, bless his heart, finally fell asleep in a chair about 3 a.m. There was no other chair in the room, so I perched myself on the Dr.’s stool for most of the night. When we finally did get home, we all fell into bed and slept off and on for most of the day.
I did receive a big blessing though…. Let me explain….
There was no close parking to the entrance, so I dropped my husband and little boy off so that they could go on in while I searched for an open spot. They were already through security and checking in when I entered. As I stepped up to the security desk to sign in, they had me do the usual thing of putting my purse and keys in a plastic container. The guard said he would have to take a quick look in my purse to make sure I wasn’t carrying anything illegal. Then he said, “You aren’t carrying any weapons tonight…. Are you?” My response surprised even me as I replied, “Just the Word of God, brother!” He smiled and said, “Good for you! Strong in the physical…and armed in the Spiritual! You all be blessed now!”
When Mike got sick at home, he was dizzy, nauseous, short of breath, chest pain…. I started praying immediately! I had to get him down the stairs, and out the door, then into the van to even get him to the hospital. For those of you that know Mike, he’s a big dude with arms the size of a Christmas Ham! You don’t want to “mess” with him!! I knew if he went down…I’d never be able to get him to the ER. So I prayed for God’s assistance and healing.
I guess when the security guard asked me if I was carrying any weapons, my Spirit Man responded…just in case the enemy (the devil) was listening.
When we cry out to God in our time of need, HE arms our Spirit Man…makes us ready to fight the devil when he comes at us. And…all of Mike’s tests came back normal. That makes it real clear to me that this was just an attack from satan.
But the one thing the devil forgot about me… I’m a fighter! Like it says in the book of Joshua 14:10-11…. “so here I am today, eighty-five years old! (I’m almost 66) ….I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then!”
God KNOWS in my heart of hearts…no matter how old I am, I will ALWAYS have a passion to kick the devil in the seat of the pants! If Satan don’t want to deal with me…he’ll just have to kill me; because I’ll NEVER give up on my fight to destroy his kingdom!!
When things get tough, call on Jesus for help, and then let HIM fight your battle! All you have to do is show up in your armor–the WHOLE ARM?OR OF GOD; God will do the rest…He will fight the battle for you! And you will always come out victorious!
“ON YOUR FEET, SOLDIER!”
