YOU WANNA WALK ON WATER? …THEN, GET OUTTA THE BOAT! …July 27, 2015


I know I’ve blogged this before…but I’m preaching a little sermon to myself today! I truly want to do amazing things for God and His Kingdom…but sometimes I get fearful. I needed to remind myself of this one thing…if I want to walk on the water with Jesus, I have to get out of the boat! Thanks for letting me blog this again! -anita

The Gathering Journal

Read:  Matthew 14:22-33

“…And when the disciples saw Him, (Jesus), walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.  But straightway Jesus spoke unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.   And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it is you, bid me come to you on the water.  And He said Come.  And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus…”

Peter was called many things in the Bible.

He was impulsive, impetuous, and emotional.  He was a traitor, when he denied Christ. He was quick to act; a “do it now…and think about it later”, sorta guy.  In today’s world, he would be labeled as having OCD…

      1. Thank you. I appreciate it and prayers are always good. Not exactly my strong part either. Thank you. God be with you. If you see me go down for a few days after Sunday. I’ll be back at some point once the power is returned.
