So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. -Luke 14:23
The above verse speaks of our quest for lost souls that need to find safety in Jesus Christ.

Last night, my husband and I were watching the movie, HACKSAW RIDGE – the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss. He was a conscientious objector and refused to carry a gun during the war. He was a medic, and only wanted to save lives-not take them.
He was given much grief over this belief, but finally won his case and was allowed to stay in the army without having to bear arms.
In the end, he saved 75 lives, perhaps closer to 100, on Hacksaw Ridge as he carried them to safety, all by himself. He won the Medal of Honor, and never fired a shot!
Mike Miller wrote this:
Facing heavy machine gun and artillery fire, Doss repeatedly ran alone into the kill zone, carrying wounded soldiers to the edge of the cliff and singlehandedly lowering them down to safety. Each time he saved a man’s life, Doss prayed out loud, “Lord, please help me get one more.” By the end of the night he had rescued an estimated 75 men. (The always modest Doss reckoned he saved about 50, but his fellow soldiers gauged it closer to 100. They decided to split the difference.)
It’s no different for us as Believers. When we witness, we face the heavy fire of the Enemy as we run alone into the ‘kill zone’ looking for the lost and wounded. When we witness, we bring them to the edge of eternity, and when they choose Jesus, they are brought to safety in Him!
Let our prayer daily be: “Lord, please help me get one more.”

I saw that movie with my dad. Very powerful story, and the accounts from the men who lived it at the end is stunning. Thanx for sharing this.
