“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
I apologize for the blog being posted so late today. It’s been one of “those” days!
Sometimes, the troubles and trials of this world get me down! The world has changed drastically in my sixty-five years. All the values, morals, and integrity that I grew up with are no longer existent, it seems!
What used to be wrong, is now right. What used to be good, is now bad, or vice versa. People used to shake hands to confirm a deal, but hand shakes, or even written contracts mean nothing in this day and age, because there is no integrity!
But…Jesus told us over two thousand years ago that “In this world, you (we) will have trouble. ” So, I’m not sure why I get so upset every time “trouble” rears its ugly head! I lose sight of my Rock…I let go of the Saviors hand and try to fix things myself. I lose my Vision of things yet to come.
Come on now! I KNOW I’m not in this boat all by myself! We’ve all been there…maybe we’re there now. I know that at this very moment…I seem to be!
However, I heard a profound statement yesterday. It goes like this:
“If you lose your Vision, you must maintain Faith and Courage!”
WOW! Now…that’s truth!
I need to read the ending statement of the above verse again! It says:
But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
So…who’s the I represent in that statement? Why, Jesus, of course! We can take heart in Him, knowing that He will work it all out.
Let’s continue on in our Faith and Courage, until our Vision returns!
