GOD HAS SHINED IN MY HEART…

Here are two promises I drew from my box this morning.  The first I share with you really speaks to a conversation I had yesterday with someone I love very, very much.

“God…has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. -II Corinthians 4:6

Below are a few verses from that passage to put things into perspective for you.

******************

But if the gospel be hid, it is hidden to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.-II Corinthians 4

************************************

You see…I can’t convince anyone that Jesus is real…that He IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  All I can do is tell them what He’s done for me, and ask Him to reveal Himself, so they will allow Him to do the same for them!

Here is a poem that went along with this promise:

“When all Your mercies, O my God, my rising soul surveys, transported with the view, I’m lost in wonder, love, and praise.” -Unknown

The other promise said this:  “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” -John 14:27

We must BELIEVE that when we preach the Gospel and pray, God’s Word will not return void…but will accomplish what it was meant to do…and that is to bring men to salvation!

I BELIEVE! …DO YOU?
