“A, B, C’s of Choosing A Close Friend”

Here’s one from Joyce E. Watke.  It comes from a book given to me by my mother called, C-A-R-I-N-G  Poems by a Preacher’s Wife With Bible Principles.  Hope you’ll enjoy!-anita

Acquaint yourself with many aspects of his or her life.

Acquire an understanding of how he or she thinks.

Ascertain what is most important to him.

Accept what he or she really is, and what God is doing in his life.

Assure yourself of mutual interest and concern.

Be sincere and interested in what they have to say.

Be a good listener.

Be considerate of his or her feelings.

Be honest with each other.

Be sweet, but be what you really are.

Collect impressions and consider them carefully.

Cherish some, discard others as incorrect.

Center your friendship around Christ, His Word, and service for Him.  Keep Christ first.
