BLESSINGS…LOVE

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer…” I Peter 3:12

************************************

I have so much to be thankful for this morning!  First of all, my husband starts his new and improved job today!  We’ve been praying about that one for a while!  Thank you Lord for answered prayer!

Next…I got the biggest surprise of my life yesterday…it was amazing!  It happened after church…

Let me tell you some background first.  About four years ago, we had to move.  The day we moved our stuff, we were unable to find my cat of ten years.  It was the saddest day of my life!  We looked everywhere for him, but to no avail.  He had been my “Friend” for so many years; I lost a big part of myself when he disappeared.  It is a grief I carry still.

In the years after our move, I checked the dumb friends league to see if someone turned him in, I have gone back to the old neighborhood and searched and called his name …but he was gone.  I was heartbroken.  Every night, I pray that he is alright…that someone kind picked him up.  It’s been one of my greatest regrets!

At church, before things started, Joel brought me a fuzzy dandelion, and said, “Make a wish, mom!”  I said, “I wish I could get a kitty!”, and then I blew the fuzz into the air.  Joel said…”Look mom!  You’re gonna get your wish!”

Anyway, to make a long story short, my husband, son, and my son’s girlfriend decided to change all of that heartbreak!  My son and his girlfriend came over for a barbecue, and unbeknownst to me…the three of them had conspired a few days before about getting me a kitten.  Joel knew nothing of this…

My son, and Jess, brought over the hot dog and hamburger buns in a bag, told me I should probably put them away since we weren’t eating for a bit; when I put my hand in the bag, there was a tiny bundle of orange and white fur…sleeping.  It was a baby kitten!  It looked just like my “Friend” that I had lost so many years ago!  That was the best present I could have ever received!  My husband Mike, my son Micah, and Jess made my day!  I love you all SO much for easing my pain!  You’re all so thoughtful!

God has been, and ever shall be, SO good to me!  He knows the desires of my heart, and supplies all my needs.  Be they big…like a job for my husband…or be they small…like a little bundle of joy…HE IS ALWAYS ATTENTIVE TO THE CRIES OF HIS CHILDREN!

Bless the Lord, oh my soul!

Anita
