“Take heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch therefore: for you know not when the master of the house cometh, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH.”-Mark 13:33-37
I have been thinking a lot about Heaven lately…not sure what is prompting that constant vision; perhaps the state of the world…maybe realizing the frailty of life because of my age…. But, the truth is, we should all have Heaven on our minds every moment of every day! We have no idea when Jesus will come back, and we need to be ready.
Here is an excerpt from the book called, “Bible Facts About Heaven”. I have quoted from it a few times in this blog. The following is a song, that pretty much says it all.
It may be at morn, when the day is awaking, when sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking, that Jesus will come in the fullness of glory, to receive from the world “His own.” It may be at midday, it may be at twilight, it may be, perchance, that the blackness of midnight will burst into light in the blaze of His glory, when Jesus receives “His own.” While its hosts cry Hosanna, from heaven descending, with glorified saints and the angels attending, with grace on His brow, like a halo of glory, will Jesus receive “His own.” Oh joy! Oh delight! Should we go without dying, no sickness, no sadness, no dread and no crying, caught up through the clouds with our Lord into glory, when Jesus receives “His own.
Chorus: O Lord Jesus, how long, how long ere we shout the glad song, Christ returneth! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen, Hallelujah! Amen.- H. L. Turner
Are YOU ready for Jesus to come back? Do YOU know Him? …In a personal way? It’s simple…you just tell Him you know you are a sinner, and cannot save yourself. You realize that the blood He shed on the cross was for your sins. Ask Him to save you, and take you with Him either when you die, or at His return.
Salvation is a gift from Him to you…but in order for a gift to be of any value to you, you must first accept it. His hand is outstretched to you right now…take hold of Him friend! You’ll never regret it if you do!
See you on the other side!
