Luke 21:28 (WNT) But when all this is beginning to take place, grieve no longer. Lift up your heads, because your deliverance is drawing near.”

Luke 21:28 (KJV) And when these things begin to come to pass , then look up , and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh .

Yesterday, my husband arrived home later than usual.  At first, I thought perhaps he had received the last call of the day and got stuck answering a lot of questions.  All the while, I kept looking for him.  Every little bit, I would run to the front window, peek through the blinds, and hope to see him arriving.  I missed him!  I longed for his return!  I anxiously awaited the site of his face! Why did I feel this way?  Because I LOVE HIM!!   Then he appeared…what a relief…Peace…I felt content…at rest!

I woke up this morning thinking about those moments last evening.  Then I heard God whisper…”That is how I want you to long for my second coming!”  Wow!  I said, almost out-loud.  Then it dawned on me…how often do I even think about the second coming of Jesus, much less long for it?  Oh, there are some days that I long for Him to come back; When I watch the News, and it’s all about murder, riots, earthquakes, floods, war, famine…days when everything in life seems hard…days when all I do seems to be wrong; but for the most part, I rarely think about Jesus coming again.  But Jesus wants us to LONG FOR His return!

Every day we wake up and see the sunrise, or hear the birds sing, we should look up and ask the question…”Is today the day You will return Jesus?”  If we lived our lives like today was our last day here on earth, I’m sure more souls would come to know Jesus!  We would be telling everyone we saw about the Good News!

Who knows?  Today may be the day that Jesus returns!  “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”  Revelation 22:20
