REARRANGED…July 13, 2015

“Search me, O God, and know my heart:  try me, and know my thoughts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”  Psalms 139:23, 24

I was SO proud!

Things looked so great!

My life was finally

In an even state.

No more problems…

Life was all together;

Like a spotless thoroughbred,

Tied with a tether!

Why!  I had it all!

The possibilities were limitless!

I felt so holy…

So sanctified…so blessed!

But then, it happened;

Things just fell apart.

See…Jesus wanted

To rearrange my heart!

Now, on the outside of me…

Things looked so neat.

But, Jesus saw a tare,

NOT a stock of wheat!

On the outside, I was a mansion,

With lovely furniture set in place;

But when He started moving things…

Oh My!  What a disgrace!

I thought I’d cleaned

That room so well;

But He swept up things

From the pits of hell!

That “gorgeous” furniture

Was ragged, and torn;

But He said that was fine,

For HE, my life would adorn!

See…I never noticed…

For things were pushed against the wall;

But He brought things out into the open…

He was cleaning everything…baseboards and all!

I was so embarrassed,

At all the junk He’d found!

But…He told me not to worry,

For His grace did much more abound!

He just kept on cleaning,

And throwing things away.

He replaced the ‘old’ with ‘new’…

He washed things white…no longer gray.

So, when He comes to your house,

And turns things upside down…

Don’t get an attitude

Or put on a great big frown!

For when He’s finished cleaning,

And rearranging you…

Your heart will shine like gold,

And you’ll feel fresh as morning dew!
