“He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.”  Psalm 103:10

If God never does anything more than redeem us, He has already done far more than we deserve! – Unknown

Those closest to me, say they love me; yet their love for me, to a certain extent, depends on MY actions and behavior towards them.

As long as I meet their expectations…their criteria…their perception of love…then I am adored, and accepted.  But, let me fall short…even just a little bit…and that show of affection, that adoration is withdrawn – at least for a time.  Sometimes, me saying, “I’m sorry” seems to ‘fix’ things…but not always.

Yet God loves me…ALWAYS!  No conditions.  He loves me when I’m good, and when I’m bad; when I “act” like His child, and even when I don’t.  His grace is beyond my comprehension!

He knows what I did yesterday, what I will do today, and how I will fall short tomorrow…but He still loves me!

“Before I was born, He called me.  From my birth He made mention of my name…He made my mouth like a sharpened sword.  In the shadow of His hand he hid me.  He made me like a polished arrow and concealed me in HIs quiver…He said to me, ‘YOU are my servant in whom I will display my splendor.  I will also make you a light that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”  Isaiah 49

GRACE… God’s way of forgetting what I “deserve”, and giving me far more than I’d ever hoped for!

On that day, when I stand before Him, I’ll be carried to the table for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  He’ll seat me in a place of honor…where by my own merit, I don’t belong; but because of His marvelous grace, I’ll be welcomed for all eternity!

Grace!  It’s too big for me to explain!  It’s more than I deserve!
