” He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces…In that day, we will say: This is our God…this is our Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in HIS salvation!”  Isaiah 25:8-9

In 1898, Carrie E. Breck, and Grant C. Tullar wrote a hymn called Face to Face with Christ My Savior.  Here is the chorus line:

“Face to face I shall behold Him, far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory…I shall see Him by and by!”

My love for you has spread,

Into my every move and thought;

It’s like a sail that is unfurled,

Which the wind has caught!

It’s like a fire…out of control;

It overtakes me, as it grows.

This feeling starts as I give to YOU,

ALL of who I am!

Your every wish, I seek to do;

All your desires, are my command.

I make these choices on my own,

As I reach out, and take your hand.

And when the pulsing of my heart resounds

So loud the world can hear…

I will laud YOU to the skies,

Until it reaches every ear.

I’ll tell everyone I know

How YOU rescued this poor soul…

How YOU made me smile,

And brushed away my tears!

Then, each night, I’ll kneel and pray…

Thankful for a chance to say,

“I love you more and more,

With each and every passing day!”

And when my brown hair turns to gray…

My youth, slowly slowly slips away…

When the lines across my face,

Map the course of my life’s race;

With my destination in full view,

I’ll bid my loved ones here adieu…

I’ll be looking just for you, Jesus…

And that smile will cross your face!
